Paris

I am a big fan of the Paris Casino in Las Vegas. It's nice. It's in the middle of the strip. The crowds are good. Can't really complain one tiny bit about it. Well I have one tiny quibble I will save for last.

Gambling At Paris Casino

I love to play at Paris. There is something about that place that I enjoy. Mostly I think its the people that play here. My love affair with this casino started the trip I stayed at Ballys. I realized that every night of that trip ended at Paris playing the tables late into the night. From then on it became a bit of a tradition for me to end my nights playing at Paris. I always found a good crowd of fun loving people playing deep into the night there, which beats the pants off the depressing, trying to win back my money and surly crowds that start appearing around 2 AM elsewhere.

The tables are a little tight together, and its hard to get into the action because of how crowded it gets sometimes. That and it is not cheap to play here. Peak hours give you a lot of $25 blackjack tables, but you can find $10-$15 tables at other times. The drinks are damn good here too.

I don't think there is a sports book at Paris and if there is, it is tiny so look to play that action elsewhere.

Staying in Paris

The rooms are not huge, but they are nice. You are paying for the central strip location in a lot of ways. You can get a weekend room for $150-$200 a night if memory serves me right. The pool area is nice, but not amazing or for kids. Its more of a lay out type of pool. There are plenty of places to eat and drink. I am a big fan of the breakfast cafe just off the casino floor. They have some nice shops in the connector between Paris and Ballys.

Look out for the fake statue people. Every once in awhile something you thought was bronze will turn out to be human.

Cons of Paris

My only complaint about Paris is that it gets a little congested walking around. There are some definite bottlenecks in the layout of the casino, and when you stay there 3 or 4 days the bumping starts to get to you.
